Autumn has arrived

Autumn has arrived

With the 23rd of September being the first official day of Autumn, even though truth be told it has felt like that since the 1st of September, I thought that I would give you an insight into what I will be buying, doing and enjoying this season.

Autumn and Winter's dressing is my favourite not just because it hides a multitude of sins whilst I comfort eat myself through the colder months, but also because I love the cosiness of woollens and boots, beanies and scarves, etc, being a perpetually cold being feeling warm and cosy is a blessing for me and so I have a few pieces on my hit list.

The Silk Slip dress whilst not being an obvious choice for Autumn, it’s very on point this season seeing lots of silk dresses on the catwalks. It can be worn with the Roll neck jumper and boots for day dressing, heels and a leather jacket for nights out and evenings when you just want to lounge around in something beautiful it can be worn with the cable knit cardi whilst laying on the couch watching tv, sounds perfect right?

The cream wide leg jogger – again another wardrobe staple, if lockdown taught us anything it’s that versatility is king, be that hybrid work or hybrid dressing and these joggers are so amazingly comfortable and wonderfully versatile, I will wear them with the oatmeal cashmere crew and trainers to the office or to meet the girls for coffee, or with the cream roll neck when it starts to get even colder, I love the fact that they look smart and comfortable at the same time and fit into my “winter white vibe” that I am loving this season.

The Velvet Pleat cushions – my living room needs a refresh and one of the cheapest yet most effective ways of doing this is with a change of décor accessories. With these rich and sumptuous cushions, it will give another accent to a room that I desperately want to redecorate but cannot justify the cost of. I adore the burnt orange colour and would use these sparingly to add some autumnal colour to my grey couch and warm up the room

That’s what I am buying, what I am doing and looking forward to are rolled up into one. I am taking my daughters to go and see Moulin Rouge as a girlie trip which I am really looking forward to, we will most likely take a walk around Covent Garden and grab some food before the show maybe from Sushisamba and then I want to go to Boolay Crepes for a Crème Brulé crepe from Seven Dials Market.

Another thing I love during autumn is walking the dogs with friends whilst the roast is in the aga and coming back to a lovely big lunch after a bit of fresh air- sometimes it really is just the simple things.

Although the weather turns and it gets colder, I really do think that Autumn with all its beautiful colours is my favourite season, we would love to hear what you are all up to so make sure to tag us in you posts and stories on Instagram

With Love Tara xx
