We can’t help you clean the house, but we can help you with a quick tasty dinner. Whip up this tasty pesto recipe in 5 minutes and you’ll be a household hero in no time.
60 grams of fresh basil (include the stalks!)
125 grams of pine nuts
3 cloves of garlic
The juice of 1 lemon
1 tablespoon of nutritional yeast
125 ml of olive oil
Pinch of sea salt to season
Fry the pine nuts in a pan until golden brown. No need to add any oil as the nuts naturally contain oil. Allow the pine nuts to cool down for a few minutes.
Next, add all the ingredients to a food processor and blend until you get a nice thick paste or to your desired consistency. Voila! Tasty pesto in a matter of minutes.
if you’re feeling particularly adventurous and wish to give your pesto a little kick, why not add some sundried tomatoes into the mix?
It’s completely up to you what you do with your pesto from here, however we certainly wouldn’t recommend serving it to the family by itself. Add it to some fresh pasta with pine nuts sprinkled on top. We’re drooling just thinking about it!
